They represent the best project carried out by the Kosmic Racing Kart research and development department recently and are provided with the most refined components listed below: New Adjustable Pedals They are made in forged aluminium, technical characteristic raising the mechanical resistance of the item. They are equipped with a millimetric adjustable device, making them perfectly suitable to a big range of foot sizes: from XXL to S. The new pedals created for the new chassis models will increase the comfort and improve the driver feeling. The system adjusting the recovery of the pedals while releasing them is another feature which makes the new pedals so special. This action does not occur as in the traditional pedals, through extension spring, but through a well tested torsion spring device, simple and effective. This makes the new pedal even better compared with the one existing so far. The other innovations relating to the pedal refer to the support for its fixing: even the position remains the same on the chassis, the anchorage is now completely new and it has been studied and planned to allow the mounting of the rudder pedals. Particular care has been dedicated to the pedal shape, each part is curvilinear and without corners or any other elements which could somehow hamper or obstruct the driver. New Floor Plate The floor plate layout has been modified and improved; now also the fixing system is different from the previous model. New Fuel Tank The new fuel tank has been created to further optimize the weight distribution on the chassis. Compared with the previous model, the filler has been now set in vertical position, next to the high steering column support, in order to make the refueling easier and more practical. In order to better fix the fuel tank to the chassis, the latter is also provided with a brand new fixing plate, moreover, in the area surrounding the fuel tank, the chassis is equipped with special rings to wire the pipes going from the fuel tank to the engine in a clear way. New Brake Systems OTK SA2 and SA3 With One-Piece Brake Pump The brake systems of the new 2013 chassis, for KF categories, will be: the OTK SA2 brake system (homologation 46/FR/17 01/01/VO) substituting the OTK BS6 model Both brake systems are different from the previous one for the new one-piece brake pump, which substitutes the previous model made of 3 pieces, keeping anyway the same inner characteristics. Besides that, another evolution regarding the brake systems is concerning the front brake discs of SA3 brake system with a thickness of 4mm, instead of 3mm, and provided with relating spacers 5,5mm thick. New front brake disc with a thickness of 4mm and relating spacer 5,5 mm thick New High Grip Steering Wheel Covering In order to even improve the driving comfort, the steering wheel has now a new high-grip covering.
