History of the Aim Motorsport Scholarship

Phillip Rawson won the first Aim Scholarship and was rewarded with a drive in the 2011 Minimax Rotax S1 season where he seeded 9th and then continued to race with Aim in 2012 where he grabbed 3rd in the title race and and won the prized GP plate at the Kartmasters GP. Aim want to continue this amazingly successful program into 2013 and give a karter the opportunity to race in Rotax S1.

We are glad to inform you that the 2013 driver racing suit will be soon available.

As already announced, the new Kosmic design perfectly combines the technical features characterizing the Sparco race suit style: in order to guarantee the greatest comfort for the driver, the high performance X-light material is transpirant and provided with elasticized bands, placed along the whole lateral side of the racing suit (from the internal part of the sleeves until the feet) and lumbar region.

The racing suit is homologated with the highest CIK-FIA Level 2 standards. The new design has been planned by the OTK Kart Group graphical department and combines new stylistic and chromatic elements.

Since the new racing suit is not available yet on stock, below we are sending you the picture of our official driver on the occasion of the CIK –FIA KF2 World Cup in Zuera. We remind you that compared with the racing suit below, the standard overalls will not have the personalization with the driver name or the Vortex logo on the arms.

Rotax Cup and Kartmasters GP titles for Aim Motorsport & Phillip Rawson

AIM Motorsport would like to congratulate its Mini Max star Philip Rawson on his fantastic victory in the recent MSA British Kartmasters Grand Prix and Rotax Cup.

The ‘Worksop Wonder’ sprinted home to secure the coveted GP Plate in typically tenacious fashion at a rain soaked PF International circuit against the best Mini Max drivers in the UK.

The speedy 14 year-old had to overcome repeated challenges from up to five other drivers as he battled for victory but was determined to take the GP title after finishing on the podium at Kartmasters 12-months ago.

Using all his considerable skill the 14-year old driver guided his Cream powered Kosmic chassis to the chequered flag first and can now proudly use the GP Plate in Mini Max for the next 12-months.

Fast Philip’ took the lead in the early stages of the final with only one other rival able to keep pace with him. However such was the ferocity of their battle that a group of other leading contenders were able to catch them as the race reached half way.

For the remaining laps the action was non-stop as Philip and his rivals swapped places at every corner but every time Philip was pushed to the rear of the group he was able to forge his way back to the front until, with barely two laps remaining, he was able to make the decisive break that would turn out to be the winning move.

It’s an amazing feeling to have won the GP Plate and the Rotax Cup as well” beamed Rawson as he collected his trophy, a cheque for £300 and the all-important licence plate. “The race was a non stop battle and I’d like to thank AIM Motorsport, Cream Racing Engines, my family and my mechanic Pod.”

Only a few weeks earlier Phillip was always victorious at the Rotax Cup completing an Aim Motorsport 1-2 with Jake Anderson in second place. An amazing achievement for the team.

Aim Motorsport is now doing test drives ready for the 2013 season. Email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 0844 8002183 to arrange a test

Aim Celebrate Kosmic Debut with Victory for Campfield

What a way to start the 2012 season! Aim Motorsport must be getting things right when their first outing on the Kosmic chassis results in a victory for Adrian Campfield in Senior max, ahead of a top class field of competitors at the PF Winter Series.

And just to make this victory even more sweet, this was Adrian's return to karting competition after a six year absence.

So if you are in any doubt as to which way to go for 2012, the combination of Aim Motorsport's preparation and the Kosmic chassis from OTK should certainly be your number 1 team choice for this season.

British Open Champions with Oliver Myers

Another fantastic weekend for Aim Motorsport and first timers in the team sees Oliver Myers take the Mini-Max O plate at Rowrah in Cumbria.  Yet again new arrivals to Aim Motor Sport find success immediately, and Oliver Myers was delighted with his spectacular victory.

The meeting looked like it might yield further success for the team when team stalwart Callum Pointon showed electric pace, only to be wiped out of one of the finals by a driver lacking experience in the Junior Rotax ranks.  Fastest laps had been coming easy to Callum so he was bitterly dissappointed with his result.

However, with the future looking so bright for Aim Motor Sport we are sure that Callum and the rest of the team's high flyers will be able to bring more silverware to the outfit.
